Trimbach 1998 Riesling (Alsace) – This tastes like erosion. Bare-faced iron and gravel in a desert wind with all the softening elements stripped away, and only the most desiccated residue of old-riesling creaminess lingering in the deep background. Fully mature. (2/07)

Have you tasted '98 Fred Emile recently?
I have a few , stashed, it's my son's birthyear...wondering how the resolution/evolution is progressing.
Hope that all is well w/ you and T.

No. I'm afraid to touch mine, even though I've got a lot of it. Reports from palates I trust suggest that it's still fairly primary/closed, which makes sense, but I don't know that I've seen a note for a while now. Maybe I should sacrifice one.
We're good. You? And when are you coming to Boston, anyway?
